Roona has been working in the patent profession since 2008, and she is qualified as a European Patent Attorney and Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney. Roona holds a first class master’s degree in Biochemistry and a doctorate in Immunology from the University of Oxford.
Roona assists clients in the life sciences and chemistry sectors with all aspects of patent practice including: drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications; patent portfolio management; competitor surveillance; providing infringement and validity opinions; and representing clients before the UK Patent Office and the European Patent Office (EPO). Roona has extensive experience in Examination and Opposition Proceedings before the EPO.
Roona has particular technical expertise in the fields of nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals; diagnostics; immunology (including antibody technology and peptide vaccines); food technology; recombinant DNA technology; and water treatment.
